Nancy...I am so sorry for all the losses you have had in such a short time. I too am still just devastated over the passing of Aime. She seemed so good just a week ago. I guess I am still in shock. Sending special prayers your way! You shawl sounds lovely!
I envy all you talented ladies. I used to sew when my girls were young. My daughter has my good sewing machine and cabinet etc.. My hands can't do it anymore.
I am going to try to get out of the house for a little while today. I haven't been out since Thursday. It is so cold I don't intend to be gone long!! Just a couple errands to run.

Hi Nancy and my OFF family:
My cleaning lady/helper and her boyfriend are here packing. I've tried to help but I woke up with a headache, the itchies and various aches and pains ... Connie would really understand. Took a percocet and it helped the aches and the headache for awhile, but then when I started moving around and did some work, the headache came back with a vengeance. Just feel miserable. Glad I have the day off. Lisa and Randy (the packers) are going gang busters here. I'm so lucky to have them, even though I have to pay them ... they have done a good job.
I also called the landlord today and plan to get together with him on Thursday to sign the lease, pay rent so I can move in on Saturday. It's going to be a costly week. Fortunately, I get paid this week. Can't wait to be out of here. The way my two packers are going, all I'll have to do is move the cat and the food in the fridge.
Well, that's all from me. Wish my headache would disappear. Not a migraine because the Imitrex didn't work. Got an icepack on my head now and it's not helping either. Will try another pain pill to see if that works.

It's been cold down here in Central Florida. today was only about 77. I got the heat on somewhat.
I'm bringing up the rear today. Just being lazy. Went to have my neck cracked. It's been hurting since I got back from Denver.
nothing else going on! No left overs here for Thanksgiving. I didn't cook.

Hey Carla...77 is not cold especially here in Michigan! But I must say it's beautiful here in this crisp cold weather...for now I can say that with a smile on my face, come February it will be whaaa whaaa and more whaaaa.
Hubby and I sat in the hot tub for an hour, drinking my coffee and just solving the worlds problems. I was ready for a hot shower then just sit and relax b/4 I start my 3-11 shift. It's been really busy today here at work with lots of admits and discharges. It's almost 9 pm and I didn't take any breaks but I'd rather be busy and bust the night away if you know what I mean!
Eileen....hope your h/a is gone soon!
Carla...where do you get all this money from????? Didn't you file bankruptcy not to long ago??? You sure do travel alot and buy alot of expensive things!! WOW!! I sure can't afford 1/4 of what you do!!!!!!!!!!
77* that is not cold...lol its 35* here and we are getting snow....enjoy your toys and traveling...and the warmth!!!
Hello Carla.....I am so glad you got the IPAD you wanted!! I have never had one nor a tablet but I hear they are great. Enjoy and let us know how it is working out for you!!
I wish I was in Florida....High here Monday AM was 4.....high this morning may be 10....wooohooo heat wave....LOL!! Soak up some of the heat and sun rays and send them to me!!!

Hi All,
Well, my thanksgiving was great! I started cooking two days previous to Thanksgiving and made four pies and a bunch of cookies. Of course I had little grandbaby hands helping out with everything. On Thanksgiving day, I cooked the turkey and the ham along with dressing and all the other stuff. It was all good and just like every year, the food all came together at just the right time. My daughter always says, how do you plan it so that it all comes together? Well, it's years of doing it and knowing how long each thing takes and getting all the prep work done before the big day.
Yesterday, DH and I had the house all to ourselves for about five hours and it was great. I actually ran around in my long shirt, something I cannot do when the kids or grandkids are here.
Nancy, I love to sew and I, too, could spend hours on end in fabric stores. I am making Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for all of our grandkids and on my off sewing time, I'm crotcheting house shoes for all the kids and ponchos for all them all too. Plus I'm still working on my cloth diaper manufacturing dream. I'm getting ready to trademark the name and logo and copyright my patterns. I am also working on the business plan and a proposal for a couple of retail giants.
Then, my job is still wonderful and I love it. My yearly budget was increased several thousand, so that's good. Plus, I've been invited to fly all expense paid to Qatar to do a workshop at two American universities there. While there, my university has set me up to meet with people from the state department and department of education from Qatar and Saudi with the hopes that we can partner with their universities. So, I've been getting my passport updated and my medical information available and my medications ordered with information from the doctor that provides me with a reason to take loratabs and xanax into the middle east. Yeah!
Tonight, DH and I are watching some funny movie that I am not really watching but I laugh when he laughs and act interested. Truthfully, I am not much for watching TV. I am more of a theater person. This week, we are going to see the new Red DAwn. Last week we watched Lincoln.
Well, that's about it for my updates.
Oh, one more bit of news: my DH is getting ready to get his second transplant. After the first of the year, the doctor is getting him ready for transplant two. He said since his first transplant has been so successful, he is eager to get the other eye done.
